“Made by Suus” started off in the summer of 2006, when I began selling my jewelry with handmade beads to friends and family. Over the year the interest in my beads grew and apart from the Internet they are now also available at “Totem”! These pieces of jewelry are especially designed for “Totem” and are guaranteed unique and made with love and care. Treat your beads with care and they will last a lifetime!

Last year, I started making glass beads by hand. I do this using a torch running on propane gass and oxigen from an oxigen concentrator. The glass I use is mostly Moretti and Lauscha. The high temperature melts the glass so I can wind it around a mandrel and desorate it using different colors and techniques.
After I anneal the beads in my glass oven, I make them into jewelry. I also like working with silver components, combined with handmade beads you can make unique pieces!
My studio is where the "magic" is done. I have a studio at home, in the Netherlands. I spend most of my free time in there, wearing my I-pod and firing away!
I travel to Oman a lot. My jewelry is available at "Totem", a clothing boutique in the Jawharat A' Shati shopping mall in Shati Al Qurum. I really love that boutique!! I will post pictures of what I make, and how I make it on this blog.
